NCAAB Thursday parlay picks, odds and predictions
This Thanksgiving Thursday has some great non-conference college basketball games on the schedule. Here are three NCAAB betting picks for a Thursday parlay.
Texas Tech Red Raiders vs Iowa Hawkeyes
Line: Texas Tech -6.5
O/U: 145.5
In the semi-finals of the Las Vegas Invitational the 6-0 Texas Tech Red Raiders face off with 4-1 Iowa. These teams have not met since the 2004 season.
The Red Raiders are the defending national runners-up and have played a very easy schedule so far, with five of their six games ending in major blowouts. They are well balanced, ranking ninth in the nation in points per game and 46th in points allowed per game.
Tech have four players that are averaging in double figures, led by Jahmi’us Ramsey (19.4 ppg), who has scored at least 25 points in two of his last three games.

Iowa’s only loss of the season was facing DePaul where they gave up 93 points. They rank 12th in the nation in scoring but while playing a soft early-season schedule they only rank 219th in the nation in opponents’ points allowed.
Luke Garza (22 ppg, 10.2 rpg) is the big gun for the Hawkeyes, as the next leading scorer is Joe Wieskamp averaging 11 ppg. Garza had totaled 59 points and 22 rebounds in two games before his last game where he had 18 points and nine boards in an easy 85-59 win over Cal Poly.
Look for Tech to take control of this game early. They will play well on both sides of the ball, winning and covering while advancing to the Las Vegas Invitational title game.
PICK: Texas Tech -6.5 @ -111.11 at Bovada
San Diego State Aztecs vs Creighton Bluejays
Line: San Diego State -1
O/U: 137.5
In the other semi-final of the Las Vegas Invitational the 6-0 San Diego State Aztecs face the 4-1 Creighton Bluejays.
SDSU are undefeated but not ranked, as they have played a weak schedule with their biggest win facing BYU. The Aztecs are not a high-scoring team but have been solid on defense, ranking 13th in the nation with an average of 56 points conceded per game. Malachi Flynn (13.3 ppg) leads four players averaging in double figures.
Creighton have only played one team from a major conference and they lost that game 79-69 to Michigan. The guard duo of Marcus Zegarowski (18 ppg) and Ty-Shon Alexander (17.4 ppg) lead a team that can score but only ranks in the middle of the pack in terms of opponents’ points per game.
Creighton have more scoring and that will trump the defense of SDSU, as the BlueJays will get the win and advance to the tournament final.
PICK: Creighton -1 @ -111.11 at Bovada
Pepperdine Waves vs Arizona Wildcats
Line: Arizona -15
O/U: 154
In the Wooden Legacy undefeated and 14th-ranked Arizona face a 3-3 Pepperdine team. These teams have not met since the 2001 season.
Pepperdine have lost two in a row and want to avoid going 0-3 against the Pac-12, as two of their losses have come facing California and USC. The Waves’ defense has been bad so far this season, only ranking 333rd in the nation with an average of 79.8 points conceded per game.

Arizona are stacked and rank seventh in the nation in ppg and 17th in opponents’ points per game. They are coming off a win in their last game where they scored 104 points, while Zeke Nnaji (19.5 ppg) leads three players averaging over 11 ppg.
The Wildcats can light it up and will do just that against a bad Pepperdine defense, easily winning and covering the 15-point spread.
PICK: Arizona -15 @ -111.11 at Bovada
