For Rajasthan, it will be the case of making things right after a demoralizing 11-run defeat against Sunrises Hyderabad in their last match on Sunday.
In the batting department, the team will be depending on the likes of Captain Ajinkya Rahane and Sanju Samson to help the team in putting a competitive total on the board.
There will be added pressure on Rahane in particular, as he failed to steer his side home even though he carried the bat in a chase of 151 in the last match.
The team management will also be desperate to see better from English duo of Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler, who collectively managed to score just 267 runs in 14 innings at an combine average of 20.50.
The bowling department is something which is a big cause of concern for Rajasthan in the tournament, as pacer Jofra Archer has managed to claim the most number of wickets (6) in just two matches.
The likes of Jaydev Unadkat, Stokes and Dhawal Kulkarni have been a big disappointment for the franchise, and the team management will be hoping that these senior pros will come to the party – sooner rather than later.
