The Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners will do battle in the Big 12 title game that provides a wealth of action and betting action for NCAA punters.

These teams met this season in the Red River rivalry and Texas handed Oklahoma their lone loss of the season beating them 48-45 in a shootout.

Well, here we go again, as after Texas pulled off the upset this season in the Red River rivalry they now face Oklahoma in the Big 12 title game. After losing two in a row to take them out of BCS consideration they regrouped to win their last three games. However, they were not convincing in their season finale with a 24-17 win over Kansas, who finished the season with only three wins. They racked up over 500 yards in the win over Oklahoma earlier this season and while they gave up more yards they forced three turnovers and did not commit any.

Oklahoma has the top-ranked offense in the nation and since their lone loss to Texas they reeled off six straight wins where they scored at least 50 points five times. Their defense has had issues and they gave up 56 points in their season finale. The Sooners are a balanced team on offense that can light it up on the ground and in the air led by Heisman hopeful quarterback Kyler Murray.

This season Texas is 9-3 SU with an ATS record of 5-6-1`and an O/U record of 6-6 and Oklahoma is 11-1 SU with an ATS record of 4-7-1 and an O/U record of 11-1.

Texas is 6-0 ATS in their last six games facing Oklahoma.

In their last game of the season Texas was on the road and they beat Kansas 24-17. They had one fewer yard in the game (297-296) and had more turnovers (2-1), but it helped that Kansas was penalized nine times to 98 yards.

Sam Ehlinger passed for 154 yards with two TD, but was also picked off twice. He has a good wide receiver corps and passed for the second most yards on the season facing Oklahoma earlier this season with 314 passing yards with two touchdowns and he was not picked off. Tre Watson and Keaontay Ingram combined for 130 rushing yards in the Kansas game and they both rushed for at least 656 yards this season. Ehlinger may get a lot of work in this game facing an Oklahoma pass defense that ranks 126th in the nation out of 129 teams.

In their last game of the season Oklahoma won a wild 59-56 win over West Virginia. While they had balance on offense and had 668 total yards they gave up 704 yards including 539 passing yards.

Murray passed for 364 yards with three touchdowns and an interception in the win over West Virginia and Marquise Brown had a HUGE game with 243 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Kennedy Brooks was the lead back for the Sooners with 182 rushing yards and Murray chimed in for 114 rushing yards.

Murray has to avoid the turnover in this game, as they killed the Sooners in their earlier loss to them this season. While Texas ranks a respectable 36th in the nation defending the run they only rank 1`04th defending the pass.
