FanDuel has become the first-ever official daily fantasy sports partner of the National Hockey League, while also penning a deal with the New Jersey Devils.

FanDuel and the National Hockey League have joined forces in a partnership agreement that will run for several years.

The deal makes FanDuel the first-ever daily fantasy sports brand to pair up with the NHL, which last week unveiled MGM Resorts as its official gaming partner.

As a result, DFS players will have access to exclusive perks such as tickets to the 2019 NHL All-Star Game and the NHL Winter Classic.

“Joining forces with the National Hockey League was the perfect step up for us as both our sports betting and fantasy sports businesses continue to grow,” said Matt King, FanDuel CEO.

The company has also signed on as an official sports betting partner of the New Jersey Devils.

That news comes only a week after the Devils sealed a separate deal with Caesars Entertainment.

“We will continue to be at the forefront of the action for hockey fans,” added Kip Levin, FanDuel COO.

“Our partnership with the Devils allows us to be on the ice during the action and in-game messaging is the perfect way to reach hockey fans during the games.”
